Special Religious Instruction (SRI) refers to religious instruction program to state government school students by authorized providers.
SRI consists of weekly 30 minutes classes and the program material will typically vary according to year level.
SRI is not compulsory; it is an optional class, which requires parent's written consent for their child to attend.
SRI is also not taught in all schools. Check if there is a SRI program available at school.
HHFV publishes a range of books, articles and videos to communicate the philosophy, principles and cultural values of hinduism. Our work is developed specifically for kids (and adults) that do not live in India.
HHFV was founded in 2010 as a not for profit charitable organization to cater for the cultural and educational needs of Hindu community in Victoria. The programs are open to the followers of Sanatana Dharma (eternal principles of life) regardless of their backgrounds.
The motto of HHFV is "Ekam sat vipraa bahuda vadanti" - Rigveda ( 1:164:46) - "Truth is one, wise men call it by different names".
Objectives
We represent the hindu view of universal human values. We also promote Indian classical art forms and hindu culture by organising/participating at both hindu and multi-faith festivals.
